This special "Pony Tails" selection has long red trailing and tapering flowers up to 100 cm long! Impressive specimen plants with long red flowers that trail downwards! Hard to keep your eyes off when in full bloom! Easy to grow.
Amaranth will grow and self sow each year in zones 2-11! Although it is an annual (will grow to full size and complete it's life cycle in 1 year) the seeds will remain in the ground to grow each season!

Starting these seeds indoors in late winter, spring, or early summer. Surface sow as light aids germination. Water the seeds in. Keep continuously moist. Temperature 20-22C, 68-72F. Seeds germinate within 10-30 days. If seeds are received in fall, store in the refrigerator until the soonest chance that they are able to be planted.
Ornamental use only. These seeds and or plants are poisonous.

I happened across Ferri Seeds website when I Googled a particular plant I’d been looking for. I was impressed by their selection of all types of seeds and their good product descriptions along with detailed germination instructions. I found the site and ordered on a Saturday. On Sunday I got a notice that my order had been shipped! The seeds were in my P.O. box on Friday. Such amazing service. It’s too early to comment on germination rates — I’ve just started the stratification process today.
