Description

Large showy clusters of very elegant blue, violet, or white flowers that bloom from August to October. The plants are tall and ideal for a show at the back of the perennial garden. Grows erect with thick arrow-shaped leaves. It does best in dry-mesic forests where there is moderate shade and somewhat dry soil. It's natural range includes Pennsylvania, Iowa, Georgia, Tennessee and Wisconsin. Now rare in the wild.
