Description

Peachy-pink flowers form tall spikes of flowers in spring and early summer. Flowers continue to develop up the stem as the season progresses. This plant is well-liked by pollinators, too. It is easy to grow, simply spread the seeds on the ground, lightly rake them in, and keep soil moist until germination. They can be started in the fall, or early spring during the cool weather. This plant will self seed if you decide to leave the flower to form seed pods. Plant in sun or shade. Also good for naturalizing.

Type: Hardy perennial

Hardiness zones: 3-9

Height: 48"

Location: Sun or shade

Seeds per pack: 20

Note: Ornamental use only. This plant and/or seeds are poisonous.

Germination: Start these seeds indoors right away for best germination rates. Your planting container should have holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. Sow the seeds on the surface a seed-start mix and water in. Do not bury the seeds as they require light to germinate. Keep lightly moist and do not let the soil dry out. Keep at 20-22 °C, 68-72 °F. Seeds germinate in 10-30 days.
