DAYTIME BLOOMING TOBACCO Nicotiana sylvestris

Unlike other nicotianna, this ornamental flowering tobacco (Nicotiana) blooms in the DAYTIME!!! The flowers are extremely fragrant! This mix of colors includes crimson, rose, lavender, white and bi-colors. Nicotiana are easy to grow, and are often used in public display beds because they grow quickly, are disease resistant, and are easy to grow.

Germination: Start seeds indoors in late winter or spring, at temperatures of 70 degrees F. Your planting container should have holes at the bottom for drainage, with a tray below to catch excess water. Sprinkle the seeds on the surface of a pre-moistened seed-start mix. Do not bury the seeds, as they require light for germination. Keep moist until seedlings are established. Watering can be done from the bottom tray, allowing water to wick upwards. Alternatively, watering can be done from the top using a spray bottle, as not to disturb the seeds and/or small plants.
