FRAGRANT PURPLE FLOWERING TOBACCO Nicotiana
An unusual and hard to find flowering tobacco with large deep purple blooms! If the color wasn't enough of a treat, these plants are highly and a favorite of butterflies. Nicotiana are easy to grow, and are often used in public display beds because they grow easily and quickly, and are disease resistant.

Germination: Start seeds indoors in late winter or spring, at temperatures of 70F/21C. Your planting container should have holes at the bottom for drainage, with a tray below to catch excess water. Sprinkle the seeds on the surface of a pre-moistened seed-start mix. Do not bury the seeds, as they require light for germination. Keep moist until seedlings are established. Watering can be done from the bottom tray, allowing water to wick upwards. Alternatively, watering can be done from the top using a spray bottle, as not to disturb the seeds and/or small plants.
