Description
This fuchsia is very hardy, to zone 6 or colder! Plants are covered in red and purple flowers all season. Plants can be pruned and kept small, or allowed to grow to full height of up to a 5 feet tall shrub! Very limited supply!
Type: Shrub
Height: 4 to 5 feet
Hardiness zones: Zone 6, possible colder, as there have been reports of it surviving to zone 4 or 5 with heavy mulching.
Location: Sun or ideally afternoon shade
Seeds per pack: 10
Germination: Start these seeds right away to preserve viability, no matter the time of year. Obtain a container with holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. For best results, obtain a sterile seed-start mix, and place the seeds on the surface of a pre-moistened growing medium. Then the container at room temperature to germinate, and keep moist until germination. Water from a bottom tray, as not to disturb the tiny seeds. Once seeds emerge, place the pot in a bright location. Germination usually takes place within 6 weeks, though they can take longer. Patience is needed, though they are worth the wait!
