
RED GLORY LILY Gloriosa rothschildiana
Also known as Flame Lily, Climbing Lily, Creeping Lily, Glory Lily, Tiger Claw and Fire Lily, this climbing can reach up to 8 feet tall, and has large red and yellow tropical-looking flowers with attractive wavy petals! These plants are quite hardy outdoors, to zone 7! Those living in cooler climates can harvest the tuber and store for the winter.
This plant is sometimes used as a houseplant. Plant in winter or spring. Months later, once it is done blooming, allow it to go dormant by with-holding water and fertilizer. Once dormant, place the pot in a cool location for 2 months, and then take it out to water it and allow it to grow again.
