Lupini Lupins are a new series of compact perennials prized for its dense spires of flowers. These plants are likely the most compact Lupin available, and are deal for smaller gardens, borders, and patio containers. It blooms in late spring to mid-summer, and thrives in cool, moist, well-drained soil. Attracts pollinators like bees and hummingbirds; deer and rabbit resistant. Deadhead spent flower spikes to encourage a potential second flush of blooms later in the summer. Blooms first season with a winter start.

These seeds may have an organic coating which encourages quick root development, faster, stronger root growth, and improves moisture retention, allowing seeds to thrive without presoaking. Does not contain any fungicides or pesticides.
Sow just under the surface of the soil and water in. Keep continuously moist. Temperature 15-18°C, 59-64°F. No heat mat. Seeds germinate in approximately 4 weeks.
Sometimes lupin can be susceptible to "dampening off,? which is a term used for rotting of the young plants. There are extra measures that can be used to help prevent this. (1) Surface sow the seeds, and then covering them with a 1/4" thick layer of perlite. (2) Use a soluble fungicide.
Ornamental use only. These seeds and or plants are poisonous.
