PITCHER PLANT

Our Nepenthes peltata is showing signs of having been pollinated successfully with Nepenthes truncata pollen. We are expecting seeds later this summer. Due to the short shelf life of Nepenthes seeds, these will only be available for a limited time. Join our waitlist to be notified when we harvest these seeds!

This should be a relatively easy cross to grow resulting in large pitchers as the plant gets to a more mature size. Nepenthes peltata is considered an intermediate plant, meaning it can grow in both lowland and highland conditions (ours is currently growing in lowland conditions). Nepenthes truncata, although considered a highland variety, also seems to grow well for us in lowland conditions.

Type: Tropical, houseplant, carnivorous

Location: Part sun - East or West facing windows work well for these plants if grown indoors
