Koenigia weyrichii (synonym Persicaria weyrichii), the Chinese knotweed or Weyrich's knotweed, is a large ornamental perennial used in gardens for it's attractive large creamy-white plumes. Makes a beautiful specimen. The plants enjoy a moist location, yet are also tolerant of dry soils once they are established. Water well the first year.
Although part of the knotweed family and can spread once established, this is not a noxious weed like Japanese Knotweed.
