
CARMINE RED CANDYTUFT Iberis umbellata
A unique and hard-to-find Candytuft with stunning carmine red flowers! As an ornamental plant it is a spring-blooming favorite, often seen cascading over rocks and walls, or used as groundcover. The glossy evergreen foliage forms a billowing mound, with many fragrant flowers for several weeks during spring and early summer.
This plant has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.

Germination: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date. Ideal soil temperature for germination: 21-30°C (70-85°F). Use peat or coir pots and bottom heat. Only cover seed by a couple of millimetres (1/8″) of soil. Transplant out after last frost at 15-30cm (6-12″) apart. Seeds should germinate in 10-20 days.
