SCARLET PIMPERNEL Anagallis arvensis
Stemless scarlet-red flowers appear over a very long succession all summer long. When allowed to naturalise in a hot place it will surpass many of the more common alpine plants, and it will send out stems where others will not, such as on hot dry banks and rockeries.
Type: Hardy perennial
Hardiness zones: 3-11
Height: 10 cm
Seeds per pack: 5
Germination: Sprinkle the seeds on the surface of a sterile seed-start mix and keep at room temperature. These seeds may take some time to germinate. If they have not appeared within 12 weeks, then place the container in a plastic bag and in a cold area (fridge) for 4-6 weeks. Then bring back to warmth. They require a little patience, but are well worth the wait!
