WHITE BAT PLANT Tacca intergrifolia
Very bizarre and incredible white and black flowers, with dark veining on the white petals, and very long 'wiskers' that hang downwards! Plants form tidy clumps of lush tropical foliage, which is also quite attractive. They are ideal house plants, and also look amazing in pots on the patio in the summer! Place in a d location.
Type: Tropical or houseplant
Height: 60 cm (2 feet)
Location: Full or part
Hardiness zones: 10-12, and often kept as a house/patio plant
Seeds per pack: 5
Germination: Your planting container should have holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. For best results, obtain a sterile seed-start mix, and place just under the surface of the growing medium. Tacca needs consistent heat and moisture to germinate, ideally 80-85 degrees. You can cover the container with clear plastic if you wish, to retain moisture until germination. Once seeds emerge, place the pot in bright place, or under bright grow lights. Germination can take 4-8 weeks, though could take up to 6 months.
