- / per
Can you smell that sweet Jasmine fragrance! The flowers open at night and produce a sweet lingering scent. Clusters of beautiful white flowers with an orange-red throat. The plants can easily be pruned to be kept small, though in a large space it can grow to be a shrub or small tree, up to 10 m tall. A popular houseplant or patio plant!
Location: Sun
Hardiness zones: 9-12 outdoors, or grow as a houseplant
Scratch each seed with sand-paper, or on a rough stone or brick, then soak in a warm location for 12-24 hours. Plant seeds just barely below the surface of the soil, and place the container in a sunny window. A heat mat can speed germination, but is not essential. Germination is very reliable, though seeds will germinate at various times, from 3-14 weeks. Be sure to keep the soil moist during the germination period.
