Xerophyta retinervis is a deciduous perennial up to 2 metres tall with stout, erect stems. Fragrant flowers appear after rain, and are blue or mauve, or rarely white. The species is tolerant of extreme conditions such as drought, fire, and low temperatures. Strap-shaped leaves occur in tufts along stems.

Seeds per packet: 5
Obtain a container with holes in the bottom, to allow water to drain. Use a mix of 50:50 compost/soil and sand. Surface sow and water them in. Do not bury the seeds. Temperature 21C/70F . Keep continually moist, and do not let the soil dry until the plants are formed. Watering can be done with a spray bottle, or from a bottom tray, as not to disturb the seeds. Seeds germinate in 6-9 weeks.

I was impressed by their selection of all types of seeds and their good product descriptions along with detailed germination instructions. I found the site and ordered on a Saturday.
