The Fraser fir is native the North America,. These seeds are cultivated from plants in several northern states in the USA and across the border in adjacent parts of the Canadian province of Quebec.

Size: Typically grows between 10 and 15 m (30 and 50 ft) tall, but rarely to 25 m (80 ft).

Soak the seeds in water for 12 hours planting. Surface sow and water in. Then cover them with plastic and place in a fridge for 4 weeks. Be sure they stay moist. After the cold stratification they are then brought back to room temperature 20-22 C (68-72 F) for them to germinate. Germination is generally 30-60 days after the warming period.
