Oriental poppies are unique as they have ENORMOUS flowers and leaves, and flower are held on 3' tall, very strong stems!
Plants live eternally, throughout the years, and do not need to be replanted. This poppy is hardy as cold as zone 4. Consider planting it with blue or purple lupins, for bold colors, and the plants bloom at the same time in late spring and early summer. Oriental poppies have fern-like foliage.
We grow these poppies between other later-blooming perennials, for a show of colour all-year round!

Seeds per packet: 30
Surface sow and water the seeds in. Then, cover the container and keep in a completely dark location. Darkness is required for germination. Keep continuously moist. Temperature 20-22°C, 68-72°F. After 10 days, check daily for signs of germination. Most seeds germinate within 10-30 days, some can take longer.
Ornamental use only. These seeds and/or plants are poisonous.

I happened across Ferri Seeds website when I Googled a particular plant I’d been looking for. I was impressed by their selection of all types of seeds and their good product descriptions along with detailed germination instructions. I found the site and ordered on a Saturday.
