Zaatar is staple culinary herb in the Middle East which gives life to hummus, flatbreads, yogurts, dips, and soups. Often mixed with olive oil, it is brushed over traditional flatbreads. This zaatar is from the mountains of northern Israel where it is popular among both Arabian and Jewish populations. Prefers sandy, well-draining soil in full sun. Cold hardy.

Type: Tender perennial

Hardiness zones: 8-10, or grow as an annual

Seeds per pack: 3 Rare seeds

Germination: Obtain a pot with holes in the bottom, and a tray to catch the water. Place seeds on the surface of the soil, and water in. Keep moist until established. Watering should be done from the bottom tray, as to not disturb the seeds, or the new seedlings.
