This sunflower is one of the darkest sunflowers available! Deep red-mahogany blooms, on large plants producing multiple blooms per plant! Plants are very tall, and are extremely easy to grow. They provide bold color both for the garden, and are excellent for cut-flowers indoors too!

These seeds can be planted directly outdoors in early spring, or start indoors if squirrels pose a problem in your area by possibly eating the young sprouts. Place the seeds just under the surface of the soil and water in. Keep lightly moist. Temperature 20-22C, 68-72F. Seeds germinate 7-20 days.

I happened across Ferri Seeds website when I Googled a particular plant I’d been looking for. I was impressed by their selection of all types of seeds and their good product descriptions along with detailed germination instructions. I found the site and ordered on a Saturday. On Sunday I got a notice that my order had been shipped! The seeds were in my P.O. box on Friday. Such amazing service. It’s too early to comment on germination rates — I’ve just started the stratification process today.
