Drosera collinsiae is a great sundew for beginner growers. This sub-tropical sundew doesn't require any cold stratification periods to get it to germinate and is a reliable grower. The colouration of the plant may vary depending on the amount of light it gets. The more light, the darker the colouration. Ideally, the center of the plant will be a reddish-pink colour with green, spoon-shaped traps.
Although sundews may not be quite as fun to watch as a flytrap when catching its prey, they are showy in their own way.
Great option for growing on a windowsill, ideally in a South facing window, but would do okay for the colder months in an East or West facing window as well.
