Striking golden foliage form of hops!

Humulus lupulus, the common hop or hops, is a species of flowering plant native to North America, Europe and Asia. It is a perennial climbing plant which sends up new shoots in early spring and dies back to a cold-hardy rhizome in autumn. It is dioecious (separate male and female plants).

Hops are sometimes described as bine plants rather than vines because they have stiff downward facing hairs that provide stability and allow them to climb.

Hops have fragrant, wind-pollinated flowers that attract butterflies! Grows best in full sun. Blooms July to September.

Humulus lupulus can cause dermatitis to some who handle them. It is estimated that about 1 in 30 people are affected by this. Ornamental use only. Poisonous especially to animals.

Type: Hardy perennial

Hardiness zones: 4-9

Height: 80", 200cm

Location: Sun

Seeds per packet: 10

Seeds will contain about 75% gold forms, and 25% green forms.
