Description

This crab apple provides beautiful white or pinkish flowers, and also delicious fruit! The flowers are insect pollinated. It is native to Europe and southwest Asia, and is one of the parents of domestic apples. The yellow fruit, suffused with orange-red when ripening is a tasty snack. This deciduous tree is hardy to Zone 4 and in flower in May, with thorny branches. Fruit ripen from September to October. It can grow in a variety of soil types. 

These seeds are rare and are in limited supply.

Hardiness zones: 4-8

Seeds per pack: 5

Germination: Surface sow in a sterile seed-start mix. Water, and place in plastic, and in the fridge for 60 days for stratification. Then bring to warmth for them to germinate. Keep continually moist.
