A rare siberian species. Large, deep-rose blooms open like Meconopsis flowers, slowly flattening with age and displaying their centres of golden anthers. The flowers are perfumed like lily-of-the-valley! The leaves are attractive with very narrow segments.

Seeds per packet: 6
Sow just under the surface of the soil and water in. Then cover them with plastic and place in a fridge for a full 3 months. Be sure they stay moist. After the cold stratification they are then brought back to a cool room (12-15°C, 54-62°F) for them to germinate. They do not like warm temperatures at this stage, and until they have their second set of leaves. Germination is irregular over a long period of time, generally 1-4 months, but some can take longer. Do not discard the planting tray, as patience is needed, and they are well worth the wait.
Ornamental use only. May be poisonous.
