Jubaea, commonly known as the "Chilean wine palm" or "Chile cocopalm", and "coquito", is a hardy palm tree. It is listed by many sources to be hardy in zones 7-11, though a reliable customer has shared their knowledgeable experiences with these plants and suggests they are hardy to zone 9. For colder areas we recommend the Windmill Palm which is proven in colder temperatures.

The Chilean Wine Palm is highly drought tolerant, and will also do well in cold or wet conditions. It does not need hot summers to grow well. It grows well in many areas, and is most commonly found in California, Australia, the Mediterranean, Switzerland, the windy Atlantic coast of France, Britain, and the rainy west coast of Ireland.
