Extremely beautiful sky-blue star-shaped flowers! A durable insect and disease resistant perennial. Is dealing better with dryer sites than other Amsonia. This plant was awarded the North American perennial of the year in 2011. The foliage turns a beautiful yellow and bronze in autumn! North America native.

Seeds per packet: 10
Place the seeds just under the surface of the soil and water in. Temperature 20-22°C (68-72°F) for 4 weeks. There is a good chance that they will be growing at this point. If they have not germinated after 4 weeks then a cooling period is required. Cover them with plastic and place in a fridge for 6 weeks. Be sure they stay moist. After the cold stratification period they are then brought back to a cool room (15C, 59F) for them to germinate. Germination can be 30-60 days after the warming period, though some will take longer.
Ornamental use only. These seeds and/or plants may be poisonous.
