The Arizona milkweed is a species of milkweed native in the USA only to Arizona, but will grow elsewhere in zones 6-9. Native habitat consists of dry rocky soils, and includes riparian woodlands, floodplain meadows and canyons. It is considered rare in Arizona.

Multiple stems arise from a single crown producing flowers which are white-pink, with pink buds. Mature flowering plants can be grown in as little as three months!

This species is a known host plant to the Monarch Butterfly. Because it serves as a nesting ground for the Monarch's larvae, it is a vital component in preventing the extinction of these butterflies. It has been observed to be pollinated by small species of Carpenter Bees.

Type: Hardy perennial

Hardiness zones: 6-9

Height: 20", 50cm

Location: Sun to part shade

Seeds per packet: 10
