Produces many stems of striking red flowers, with glossy green finely-dissected foliage. The flowers are pollinated by hummingbirds. Flowers in the first year from early sowing. The plants are native to the United States including California, Nevada and Oregon, and grows elsewhere in zones 6-10. Delphinium nudicaule is known by the common names canyon larkspur, red larkspur, orange larkspur, and canyon delphinium.
