An understory tree that offers stunning spring blossoms! This small tree or large shrub boasts elegant, white, bell-shaped blooms that dangle in rows along its branches like raindrops. Native to the United States. It prefers rich, acidic soil and is relatively pest-free. Carolina Silverbell is also easy to grow and makes a great focal point in your garden.

Seeds per packet: 5
Scratch each seed with sand-paper, or on a rough stone or brick. Sow just under the surface of the soil and water in. Then cover them with plastic and place in a fridge for 90 days. Be sure they stay moist. After the cold stratification period they are then brought back to room temperature 20-22°C (68-72°F) for them to germinate. Germination is about 30-90 days after the warming period. Do not discard the planting tray, as patience is needed, and they are well worth the wait.
