A large flowering species ideal for the garden, meadow or native garden. Orange sneezeweed is native to the western United States, and has been found from Arizona, New Mexico, and central California, and North as far as Montana and Oregon.
It is an erect perennial herb blooming from July to September. The plants bear several flower heads up to 7.5 cm (3 in) wide.
Hymenoxys hoopesii was formerly known as Helenium dugaldia or Dugaldia hoopesii.
