Meadow or Prairie evening primrose is native to the United States and eastern Canada. It is grown as an ornamental garden plant and used in naturalized settings. It produces flowers with yellow petals in late spring and early summer.

Surface sow and water the seeds in. Then, cover the container and keep in a completely dark location. Darkness is required for germination. Keep continuously moist. Temperature 20-22°C, 68-72°F. After 10 days, check daily for signs of germination. Most seeds germinate within 10-30 days, some can take longer.
