A beautiful woodland plants with attractive and intriguing flowers. A hooded spathe flops over a waxy spadix. These plants are very long lived, and form dense clumps. Bulbs can be lifted and divided to populate other areas. These plants are very easy to grow, and amaze us with their versatility, growing in various soils (including sandy) and can tolerate a great amount of drought once established. Sun requirements are also versatile, as we have ours in a half-sun location, even though they are traditionally woodland/shade plants. Very hardy (even though they look exotic)!

Sow just under the surface of the soil and water in. Keep continuously moist. Temperature 20-22C (68-72F). Germinations in 21-60 days for most seeds, some may take up to 90 days.

I happened across Ferri Seeds website when I Googled a particular plant I’d been looking for. I was impressed by their selection of all types of seeds and their good product descriptions along with detailed germination instructions. I found the site and ordered on a Saturday. On Sunday I got a notice that my order had been shipped! The seeds were in my P.O. box on Friday. Such amazing service. It’s too early to comment on germination rates — I’ve just started the stratification process today.
