Description

The largest of the foxgloves, Strawberry foxglove bears extra-large flowers that are a strawberry-pink, with a red center! A unique color among foxglove. The pretty flowers begin in late spring, and continue to develop up the stem as the season progresses. This plant is well-liked by pollinators, too. It is easy to grow, simply spread the seeds on the ground, lightly rake them in, and keep soil moist until germination. Seeds can be started in the fall, or early spring during the cool weather.

Type: Hardy perennial

Height: 36", 90 cm

Hardiness zones: 3-9

Location: Sun or part shade

Note: Ornamental use only. This plant and/or seeds are poisonous.

Seeds per pack: 20

Germination: Start these seeds right away to preserve viability, no matter the time of year. Do not bury the seeds, as they require light for germination. Place the seeds on surface of your growing medium, and water. Keep moist until germination. Once seedlings emerge, place the pot in a sunny place, or under bright grow lights. New seedlings like slightly cool weather while they are very small.
