Description
A full-flowered and velvety royal-purple form of the Himalayan Blue Poppy! Flowers have silky petals, and a large golden eye. Stems are very strong, and leaves are interestingly hairy! These seeds are reliable germinators as long as they are given cool temperatures (see germination instructions below). Sorry we don't yet have in image, but hope to have an image from our plants once they bloom! Plants will bloom the first year from seed if sown early.

Germination: It is very important to start these seeds right away to preserve viability, no matter the time of year. These seeds require light to germinate. Sow the seeds on the surface of a sterile seed-start mix, and water in. Keep them at 20C for germination. Do not us a heat mat or they will not grow. The seeds generally germinate in 4-6 weeks, though some can take longer so be sure to keep moist. Once germination occurs, place them in a cooler location for them to grow larger, about 15C is ideal.
