Description

An excellent background or specimen perennial! The plants form tidy clumps and do no spread invasively. Astilboides tabularis is a hardy perennial from China. It is grown for its huge bright green, circular leaves to 36 in (90 cm) across with the stem attached to the center, and large fluffy racemes of tiny white flowers produced in summer. Can be grown in regular or moist soils.

Type: Hardy perennial

Hardiness zones: 4-8

Height: 100-200 cm with flowers, depending on location

Location: Shade or part shade if regular soil. Can be grown in sun in a moist location (by a pond or stream).

Seeds per pack: 10

Germination: Keep seed in constant moisture with temperatures of about 20°C (68°F). Do not bury the seeds, simply water them into the surface. Keep in cooler conditions after germination occurs.
