Cyclamen africanum is commonly used as a house plant, and is referred to by the common name African cyclamen. It is a perennial growing from a tuber. The leaves are boldly patterned and beautiful, and produce many flowers, making it an excellent house plant, or outdoor plant in warm locations.

Soak the seeds for 12-24 hours before planting. Sow just under the surface of the soil and water in. Place them in a cool and dark room or closet, as they require darkness to germinate. Temp (16-18C, 61-64F). Germination can begin in 6 weeks, and some seeds can take up to a year. Check regularly for germination and bring to light once signs of growth are visible.
