AVENS 'KOI' Guem coccineum
Geum coccineum is native to the mountains of the Balkans and northern Turkey, and is grown ornamentally for its bright flowers.
Water Aven's 'Koi' is slightly more compact than most Avens. and has bright orange flowers and prolific blooming from May to August. A nice addition to the garden. It can grow in regular soil in part shade, or in wet areas in full sun.

Germination: Place the seeds on the surface of a sterile seed-start mix. Keep at room temperature, and keep moist at all times. Once growing they can be brought to a sunny location, provided that the container is never allow to dry out. A pot with holes can be placed in a dish of water, so that the water can constantly wick into the seed medium.
