A shrub or small tree to 10 m tall, native to tropical Asia with clusters of simple, white flowers with an orange-red throat. They open at night an produce a sweet, lingering scent. The plants can easily be pruned to be kept smaller.

Germination: Scratch each seed with sand-paper, or on a rough stone or brick, then soak in a warm location for 12-24 hours. Plant seeds just barely below the surface of the soil, and place the container in a sunny window. A heat mat can speed germination, but is not essential. Germination is very reliable, though seeds will germinate at various times, from 3-14 weeks. Be sure to keep the soil moist during the germination period.
