COMMON SAGE, GARDEN SAGE, DALMATION SAGE Salvia officinalis
This is the most commonly grown culinary variety. This variety is popular for poultry stuffing and for flavouring rich meats like pork or duck. Works well with onions, and in homemade sausage, omelettes, cheese and bean dishes. Sage tea gargle is sometimes used for sore throat. Unique grey-green pebbly leaves and pale blue flowers.
