Brilliant orange flowers cover this Japanese Azalea in spring and early summer. These shrubs can be grown in grass, or in woodland areas. Equally happy in sunny or shady areas. Plants are tolerant of acidic soils, as those found under evergreen trees. Seeds are very limited supply.

Type: Hardy shrub

Location: Sun or equally happy

Size: 3-7 feet tall, or can easily be pruned to a smaller space

Hardiness zones: 4-10

Seed size: By nature, Azalea seeds are very tiny. We pack them in a wax envelope to assist with handling.

Note: This plant family is known to have toxicity. The ingestion of these seeds or this plant can cause serious illness or death. These seeds and plants should be handled with disposable gloves, as touching this plant can cause illness. Wear long sleeve clothing.

Seeds per pack: 5

Germination: Plant these seeds on the surface of the soil (do not bury them), water and keep moist until germination. Place the pot in a clear plastic bag to help retain moisture/humidity on the seeds until they germinate, at which time the bag should be removed. Germination occurs in approximately 6 weeks. Keep at room temperature for germination.
