PACIFIC CALIFORNIA RHODODENDRON Macrophyllum
Huge pink flowers cover this Japanese Azalea in spring and early summer! The leaves are also very attractive, large and shiny! These shrubs can be grown in grass, or in woodland areas. Plants are tolerant of acidic soils, as those found under evergreen trees. Seeds are very limited supply.
These plants can also be used for bonsai, though it is typically a large shrub.

Seed size: By nature, Rhododendron seeds are very tiny. We pack them in a wax envelope to assist with handling.
Germination: Plant these seeds on the surface of the soil (do not bury them), water and keep moist until germination. Place the pot in a clear plastic bag to help retain moisture/humidity on the seeds until they germinate, at which time the bag should be removed. Germination occurs in approximately 6 weeks. Keep at room temperature for germination.
