One of the most known wildflowers, the Texas Bluebonnet is easily grown seeds, and it can transform a field into a colorful display of lovely blue wild flowers!

The Texas Bluebonnet wildflower was adopted as the State Flower of Texas in 1901 and is most often seen in beautiful floral displays along road sides, in woodlands, and in pastures all over the state. Though native to Texas, these wild flowers grow in other states and areas in North America, and when planted in mass, the visual effect is stunning.

The scent of these blossoms has been diversely described, many people say they give off no scent, while others describe the scent as sweet.

Type: Hardy perennial

Hardiness zones: 3-10

Height: 60cm, 24"

Location: Sun

Seeds per packet: 10

Germination: Soak the seeds for 6-12 hours before planting. We suggest surface sowing the seeds, and then covering them with a 1/4" thick layer of perlite to the surface to prevent -dampening off, which is a term used for rotting. Another option is to use a soluble fungicide to prevent damping off. Temperature (20-22 C, 68-72 F). Seeds germinate in 14-60 days.
