First year plants will typically only grow to approximately 100cm or 39" in height. The second year, should be nearly double that depending on the water the plant receives. Grows well at pond sides, though does not want to be wet all the time. Once established, a plant can spread to take up 3-5m in diameter through spreading rhizomes.
