This hardy perennial is native to parts of Europe, growing well in nutrient poor grasslands and stony areas. Would be a good option for a rock garden or a green roof. Blooms from July to August, and is a great pollinator plant for honey bees.
Type: Hardy perennial
Hardiness zone: 4-8
Height: 12", 30cm
Location: Sun
Seeds per packet: 20
Sow just under the surface of the soil and water in. Then cover them with plastic and place in a fridge for 12 weeks. Be sure they stay moist. After the cold stratification they are then brought back to room temperature 20-22°C (68-72°F) for them to germinate. Germination is irregular over a long period of time, generally 8-12 weeks, but some can take longer. Do not discard the planting tray, as patience is needed, and they are well worth the wait.
