This hardy perennial is native to South-eastern Europe. Blooms from June to October, attracting butterflies and honey bees to your garden. Flowers first year, so is relatively fast-growing.
Type: Perennial
Hardiness zone: 5-10
Height: 32", 80cm
Location: Sun or part shade
Seeds per packet: 10
Sow just under the surface of the soil and water in. Cover them with clear plastic and place in a fridge for 60 days. Be sure they stay moist. After the cold stratification period they are then brought to 20-22°C (68-72°F) to germinate. Germination is generally 30-90 days after the warming period, though some can take longer, and will germinate irregularly over a long period of time. Do not discard the planting tray, as patience is needed, and they are well worth the wait.
