This is a selection chosen for garden use, and has pink flowers (rather than the standard pale purple). Typical spice in the south-eastern Mediterranean. Strong oregano flavour. An important native butterfly food plant.

Marjoram is sweeter and milder than oregano. Oregano has a stronger, more pungent flavor. Marjoram leaves are usually smaller and more gray green than oregano leaves.

I happened across Ferri Seeds website when I Googled a particular plant I’d been looking for. I was impressed by their selection of all types of seeds and their good product descriptions along with detailed germination instructions. I found the site and ordered on a Saturday.
