This flower grows a single stem which branches into as many as 25 smaller stalks, each ending with a blue to purple, 6-pointed flower. Forms a corm, so can be grown in colder climates, though the corm would need to be saved during the Winter and replanted in the Spring after the last Frost of the year. Native to California, can be found naturally as far North as Southwestern Oregon. Typically blooms from May to July.
Makes for a great cut flower.
