The combination of dense natural pyramidal form, strong limbs, soft long-retained needles, dark blue-green color, pleasant scent has led to Fraser fir being widely used as a Christmas tree. Fraser fir has been used more times as the White House Christmas tree than any other tree!

The Fraser fir is cultivated from seedlings in several northern states in the USA and across the border in adjacent parts of the Canadian province of Quebec.

Hardiness zones: 4-7

Size: Typically grows between 10 and 15 m (30 and 50 ft) tall, but rarely to 25 m (80 ft).

Seeds per pack: 3

Germination: These seeds require a brief period of cold before they will grow. Place the seeds in a sterile seed-start mix, moisten, and place them in the fridge for 6 weeks. Then bring them to warmth for them to germinate. Keep lightly moist at all times.
