We LOVE this flower! When we first obtained the seeds, we thought it was an annual (blooms first year). Half way through the summer there was lovely lush-green ferny foliage, but no tall bloom, so we gave up in it. It got shoved in the "recycle" pile, and basically got forgotten. The next spring, to our amazement, the plant was still alive! We then realized this was a VERY hardy perennial, as it had survived a cold winter, out of the ground, it it's tiny pot. We quickly planted it, and a few weeks later it produced tall stems of these gorgeous red-orange tropical-looking flowers (if you know us, you'll know we a enamored by tropical-looking plants!). Flowers last for many weeks, as the plant keeps blooming as it grows upwards! We are now pleased to offer seeds of the stunning plant. Plants are tolerant of neglect, and produce tall stems of multiple flowers in summer.

Type: Hardy perennial

Height: 60"

Location: Sun

Hardiness zones: 4-11

Seeds per pack: 10

Germination: Start these seeds indoors right away for best germination rates. Your planting container should have holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. Sow the seeds just under the surface a seed-start mix and water in. Keep lightly moist and do not let the soil dry out. Keep at 20-22 °C, 68-72 °F. These seeds are known to be a bit slow to germinate, and should be up in about 21-60 days, but could take as long as 90 days for some seeds.
