Description

The red larkspur is always the most coveted, and is now available from seed outside of the standard mixes, so you'll be sure you will be seeing your favorite color this summer! Plant seeds in groups to form large drifts of vibrant color. These flowers are also favorites to butterflies and other pollinators! Plants are very easy to grow and care for, and bloom the first year from seed.

Height: 3-4 feet, 90-120cm

Location: Sun

Bloom time: Mid summer until hard frost

Type: Annual that reliably self-seeds

Seeds per pack: 10

Note: This plant family is known to have toxicity. The ingestion of these seeds or this plant can cause serious illness or death.

Germination: These seeds are very easy to germinate! Plant seeds in spring, after the danger of frost is past. Rake the ground, and then scatter the seeds on the raked ground. Lightly rake them in, so that they are just covered by the soil, being careful that they are not too deep. Water the area, and keep it continually moist until plants begin to grow. Once they are established they are somewhat drought tolerant. These seeds can also be started early indoors. If you live in a warm climate these seeds can be started outdoors in fall or winter.
