A large and vigorous tropical ginger with a truly stunning red inflorescence. A must grow if you have a sunny and warm spot in the tropical garden or conservatory. As a cut flower it is long lasting.

Height: 3-6m in the wild, smaller if grown in a pot or indoors.

Germination: These seeds should be sown immediately into a well-drained, sandy compost, and cover thinly with sand. Keep moist, and between 20-25 degrees C. These seeds sometimes germinate within 4 to 6 weeks. although some may take much longer so patience is required.
