A large and vigorous tropical ginger with a truly stunning red inflorescence. A must grow if you have a sunny and warm spot in the tropical garden or conservatory. As a cut flower it is long lasting.
Location: Shade
Height: 3-6m in the wild, smaller if grown in a pot or indoors.
Seeds per pack: 5
Germination: Sow the seeds just under surface of the soil, and water in. Keep lightly moist and do not let the soil dry out. These seeds grow in temperatures of 25°C-29°C (77-84F). A heat mat can be helpful. Seeds germinate in 30-60 days. Once growing they should be placed at 20-22 °C, 68-72 °F.
